Noorani Qaida is a short beginner's book that takes a student from the Arabic alphabet to reading words with full vowel marks. Completing it properly makes reading the Quran much easier.
Stages of the Qaida
- Single letters and their correct sounds
- Joined letters and how shapes change
- Harakat: fatha, kasra, damma
- Tanween, sukoon (jazm) and shaddah
- Madd letters and longer words
Most children finish in a few months with regular lessons. Adults often go faster. After the Qaida, students move to Nazra and Tajweed.
