Why learn Tajweed with a teacher?

Tajweed is a skill of the ear and tongue. Rules learned from a book are easy to misapply, and some pronunciation mistakes can change the meaning of a word. A teacher hears the small errors you cannot hear yourself and corrects them before they become habits.

How is the course taught?

  • Each rule is explained simply, with examples shown on screen.
  • The student finds and recites examples of the rule in the Quran.
  • Earlier rules are revised regularly so nothing is forgotten.
  • Children learn with shorter lessons and lots of repetition; adults can go deeper into the theory.

Frequently asked questions

Can I learn Tajweed online?

Yes. Live one-to-one video classes work well for Tajweed because the teacher can hear and correct every sound in real time.

How long does it take to learn Tajweed?

The main rules can be learned in a few months of regular classes. Applying them perfectly in recitation takes continued practice.

Is Tajweed compulsory?

Scholars agree that reciting the Quran without mistakes that change the meaning is required. Learning Tajweed is how a reader protects the meaning and recites beautifully.
